There's no need to worry about your peas and carrots mixing with your chocolate pudding in this TV dinner; everything is made from candy and sugar. Feel free to grab a chicken leg with its white chocolate bone or dive into the mound of frosting that looks like mashed potatoes, topped with caramel gravy. You might want to save the vegetables for last, as the peas and carrots are actually Skittles and Starbursts.
This playful meal will surely kick off your April Fool's Day with laughter and joy. Not only does it challenge the perception of what's for dinner, but it also brings a sweet twist that everyone can enjoy. Happy pranking, and may your evening be filled with giggles and tasty surprises!
I saw these cupcakes made and had to order the book. Hello, Cupcake is available on Amazon.

Green food coloring – available at grocery or craft stores

1 teaspoon colored jimmies - small, oblong, sprinkles you can find at grocery or craft store
DECORATING THE DRUMSTICK CUPCAKE

Place the white chocolate melting wafers in a Ziplock bag, but do not seal the bag. Microwave the bag for about 10 seconds to soften the chocolate. Give the bag a gentle squeeze to mix the chocolate, and then back into the microwave it goes. Keep repeating this until the chocolate is nice and smooth. Once it's smooth, squeeze out any extra air from the bag and seal it up. Finally, snip a corner of the bag, cutting about 1/8 inch off.

First, grab your bone template and place it on a cookie sheet. Then, cover it with some wax paper. Let's have some fun with melted chocolate! Start by piping an outline of the bone onto some wax paper. Once you've got the outline, go ahead and fill it in with even more chocolate. A little gentle tap on the pan will help smooth out the top! Keep going until you’ve made three delicious chocolate bones. Now, pop the pan in the fridge and let those treats set for about five minutes.

TIP! It might be a good idea to make some extra bones in case one breaks.

Grab some vanilla frosting and spread it on top of three cupcakes, making sure to mound it up a bit for that perfect look! Now, add a doughnut hole on top of each cupcake. Don’t forget to give those doughnut holes a nice layer of frosting too—smooth it out until they’re completely covered.
TIP! If you're having trouble finding doughnut holes, no worries! You can easily use mini donuts cut in half instead.

Grab a medium bowl and pour in the cornflake crumbs. Now, take those frosted cupcakes and give them a little press into the crumbs until they’re completely covered—this part is so much fun! Once they're all dressed up, just place them in an aluminum baking tray.

Take a sharp knife and make a little cut at the top of each doughnut hole. Then, carefully peel off one of the chocolate bones from the wax paper and stick the pointed end into the slit you just made. Do the same with the other 2 bones and cupcakes.
DECORATING THE MASHED POTATOES CUPCAKE

Spread a generous layer of the vanilla frosting on top of your cupcake, giving it a nice little mound! Then, grab a small ice cream scoop or the back of a spoon and gently create a well in the center of the frosting.

Start by placing the fruit chew in the well at a bit of an angle to get things started. Then, drizzle the delicious caramel sauce over the cupcake, allowing it to fill the well and spill over the edges like yummy gravy. Finally, lovingly place the cupcake in the baking tray, ready for the next step!
DECORATING THE PEAS AND CARROTS CUPCAKE

Cut the orange fruit chews into fun little cubes, making them about ¼ inch each! Then, add a splash of green food coloring to your vanilla frosting and spread it on top of one cupcake.

Then, decorate the cupcake by arranging the green candies and orange chews on top, giving them a little press to stick into the frosting. Finally, pop the cupcake into the baking tray. Just one more cupcake to go—you're almost there!
DECORATING THE CHOCOLATE PUDDING CUPCAKE

Grab a Ziplock bag and spoon in the chocolate frosting. Make sure to squeeze out any extra air before sealing it up tight. Then, snip off a ¼-inch corner of the bag. Now comes the fun part! Pipe the chocolate frosting in a lovely spiral on top of your last cupcake. Go ahead and sprinkle some jimmies on top of your cupcake, then carefully place it in the tray.
